I started as an intern at Bowen Health in 2004 and never had a reason to leave because patients and staff come first. Every challenge our patients face is an opportunity for us to help them live their best life, longer. I’m privileged to work with our dedicated board of directors and staff to continue building our services on the core values of Respect, Integrity, Mission, and Stewardship.

I’ve worked at Bowen Health since 2017 because of a shared mission to serve patients and communities so everyone can live their best life, longer. Giving our team the space and autonomy to grow and empowering them to learn and build new skills that push them both personally and professionally means as good as we are today, we will be even better tomorrow.

Since starting in 1991 I have seen the organization grow significantly every year which is incredibly exciting because growth means we are helping more people. I love being part of an organization that values the people it serves, and I am inspired by our dedicated staff who are driven to treat every patient well, every time.

Since 2016 Bowen Health has allowed me the opportunity to help people on a wider scale than I could ever do on my own. We all grow into our personal and professional roles through people who are kind enough to invest in us and help us become who we want to be. What we do for our patients is no different. Our investment in their well-being provides the hope and resilience they need to see beyond any challenges they may face.

Vice President, Healthcare Quality

I joined Bowen Health in 2015 as a Skills Coach and since then I have developed a profound connection to our mission, which emphasizes the importance of serving our patients and communities. The ability for our patients to receive care for their body and mind in a single visit makes a significant difference in their lives. So, it is critical for us to enhance the patient experience right from the initial point of contact, and to ensure that quality and safety remain our top priorities.
-
I have served in numerous capacities since starting at Bowen Health in 2012. I stayed because I wanted to build my career here with dedicated people who, like me, are committed to the mission of helping our most vulnerable citizens get the healthcare services they need. I feel a deep responsibility to continuously improve our processes and procedures because that helps ensure our patients receive the best service possible.

Since I started at Bowen Health as a pre-doctoral intern in 2010 it’s always been about the mission. I love advocating for people that are often forgotten or marginalized, that are suffering with physical and mental health conditions that impair their functioning and quality of life. The care we provide is felt not just in each patient’s life but in the health and well-being of the community for generations to come.
-
Having worked in the mental health field for nearly 40 years, I have a keen understanding of how many people out there really have no idea where to turn at times. They need someone to help steer them to solutions for things they never thought they’d have to face. Bowen Health provides that platform for me to reach those people that need inspiration so they can have a better tomorrow. My philosophy is to be the person that others can count on…..Period.

I was drawn to Bowen Health in 2008 because I wanted to make a difference in the lives of others, and it was obvious that each patient was treated with respect and dignity. It didn’t take long for me to realize that each staff member was also highly valued. At Bowen Health, we believe that if we take good care of our employees, our employees can provide the best possible care to our patients.
-
I started at Bowen Health in 2011 as a therapy intern and skills coach and I’ve seen a lot of changes in the mental health care field. The payoff for me is being able to break down barriers for families to access the care that is so deeply needed. I am privileged to work alongside our outpatient, hospital, transitional living, and medical teams to provide our patients the very best care for their body and mind.

I have had the privilege to work within healthcare for over 30 years. With the leadership roles I have held and my background in Mental Health, I wanted to be a part of what is happening within Bowen Health because of the value placed on every person who enters the doors. Lives are being changed and enhanced and to be a part of a team dedicated to helping and serving others is exciting.

I have served in numerous capacities at Bowen Health since 2008. We create safe spaces for people in their most vulnerable moments of life, so for me it's very special to have a hand in the healing journey for our patients whether it's face to face or behind the scenes. Offering empathy and grace to all our patients goes a long way to improving their lives and the communities we serve.
-
I joined Bowen Health because it is well positioned to continue the pursuit of its mission by focusing on the patient experience, adding new/needed services, and modernizing its facilities while maintaining focus on quality and affordability. I am proud to serve on a Bowen Health team that will continue to put its patients, employees, and communities at the center of organizational decision making.

Executive Director, Allen County

I joined Bowen Health in 2023, but I’ve been working alongside it for many years as the Care Coordinator in Allen County. Together we have filled gaps in services, and helped people overcome barriers to those services. I believe that everyone should have access to the supports they need to thrive. At Bowen Health we seek out those who are most vulnerable, and we show them the compassion and respect they deserve to help them live their best lives longer.
