Bowen Center opens health clinic in Huntington

Bowen Center will formally introduce its newest health clinic to the public on Wednesday, March 30 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. The ribbon cutting and open house will be at the clinic in Huntington located at 2860 Northpark Ave. In addition to Huntington, the Center recently opened health clinics in Fort Wayne and Warsaw with more planned. The Huntington clinic is the first Bowen Center has opened that is co-located with its mental health services. 

The ribbon cutting will occur on Wednesday, March 30 at 10 a.m. Speakers include Huntington Mayor, Richard Strick; Dr. Tanner Babb, Associate Professor of Psychology/ Associate Academic Dean, Huntington University, and Bowen Center Board of Directors; Matt Ditzler, Director, Huntington Community Foundation, and Bowen Center Board of Directors; Kurt Carlson, Bowen Center President/CEO; Dr. Robert Ryan, Bowen Center Senior Vice President of Operations; Shannon Hannon, Bowen Center Vice President Healthcare Integration; Shelly Snyder, Bowen Center Huntington Director; and Emily Vanderpool, Bowen Health Clinic Nurse Practitioner. The public is welcome, and tours will follow the ribbon cutting. 

The Community Mental Health Center’s move into integrated care addresses the strong link between mental and physical health. By integrating mental and physical health care, the center’s goal is to reach underserved populations, improve their quality of life and extend their life expectancy by treating the whole person.
