Bowen Center Responds to COVID-19 Outbreak

As the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to dominate the news, we want you to know that Bowen Center is open and observing our regular business hours and all appointments. We are taking proactive measures to protect our patients and staff and guarding against any disruption of services. It is our goal to continue to serve our patients, families and the community in any way that we can. We are actively working with Indiana government agencies to allow us the flexibility of providing services in different ways that do not put our patients or staff at risk of transmitting the COVID-19 virus.

Here are some of the protective measures we are taking.

• Additional in-depth health and safety training

• Frequent and thorough handwashing

• Proper cough etiquette

• Continued and frequent sanitizing and disinfecting of rooms, furniture, equipment and vehicles

• Thorough screening questions at patient check-in

• No physical contact with individuals

• Inserting opportunities to educate and encourage patients to protect their health

• On-line meetings and conference calls whenever possible in lieu of in-person meetings

• Social distancing when in-person meetings are required

• Staff who are able are asked to work remotely

• Staff stay home if sick

• A reporting mechanism for staff who have or have come in contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19.

These are just some of the proactive measures we are taking to reduce the spread of illness in our communities.

Bowen Center is proud to partner with schools and businesses in our communities through our Student Assistant Program (SAP) and our Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) and we will continue to serve those students and employees as well during closures related to the COVID-19 response.

We will follow the guidance from the CDC to ensure the health and safety of our patients and staff. That is our highest priority. Should patients need to reschedule appointments or have any questions, call (800) 342-5653.
