Mista Lauber has been named Bowen Health Executive Director, Northeast Indiana. She will be responsible for operations, performance, and furthering community relationships to connect Bowen Health to individuals in need of health services in DeKalb, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, and Whitley counties.
“I am humbled and excited to move into this new role,” said Ms. Lauber. “Expanding our services to include primary care for our patients in northeast Indiana this year has meant more individuals getting the quality healthcare they deserve regardless of their ability to pay. I look forward to working with our team to expand those opportunities even further.”
Ms. Lauber began working at Bowen Health in 2014 as a Rehabilitation Services Manager. She served as Assistant County Director in Plymouth and Warsaw before assuming the Director position in Whitley County in 2019. She oversaw the move in January to a new Columbia City facility located at the corner of US 30 and State Road 205 and the addition of primary care to the services in Whitley County for the health system
“Mista’s well-rounded experience gained at Bowen Health over the last 10 years, her ability to build high-functioning teams, and her strong relationships inside and outside of the organization made her the top candidate for this new role,” said Bowen Health COO Shannon Hannon.
“The services Bowen Health has provided for more than 60 years to our communities is so important,” said Ms. Lauber. “Ensuring we continue to build a strong, sustainable way to deliver those services is crucial, so I am thrilled to help move forward the vision of our leadership guided by the needs of our patients.”
In her new role, Ms. Lauber will continue Bowen Health’s expansion of services in northeast Indiana. Primary care services were added in Angola, LaGrange, Albion, and Auburn last Spring.
“Bowen Health will continue to evolve to meet the growing need for mental health care, primary health care, and addiction recovery services in our communities, especially for those who face financial challenges,” said Dr. Rob Ryan, Bowen Health president and CEO. “Everyone deserves access to quality healthcare and Mista will play a critical role as we expand our services in that area to ensure we reach those who need it most. For those who have grown to trust Mista's leadership in Whitley County, her new job includes supervision of Whitley County and so we are confident the gains we've seen in Whitley County will continue even as she transitions to her new job”
